Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Track Extensions.

Glued-in tracks usually last four to six weeks with proper care; tape-in rows can last six to eight weeks depending on hair growth and maintenance. We recommend scheduling touch-ups or removal every 4–8 weeks to protect natural hair and keep extensions looking seamless.

When applied by a trained stylist and not overly tightened, track extensions are safe. Proper installation, regular maintenance, and gentle home care minimize breakage. Avoid heavy styling and ensure professional removal to prevent unnecessary pulling or damage to your natural hair.

You can swim and exercise, but take precautions. Chlorine and saltwater can weaken adhesives; wear a swim cap when possible and rinse hair after swimming. Tape-ins may loosen faster than glued tracks, so plan for extra upkeep if you swim frequently.

Use sulfate-free shampoo, avoid heavy oils near the glue or tape, and gently detangle from ends upward. Limit heat styling and always dry thoroughly. Sleep with a silk scarf or pillowcase and return to the salon for scheduled checks and adjustments to preserve longevity.

Track extensions work with many textures, but suitability depends on hair density, scalp health, and elasticity. Very fragile or low-density hair may require alternative methods. Book a consultation so we can assess and recommend the best extension type for your hair.

Price includes either three glued-in tracks or a single row of 10–12 tape-in extensions, plus professional application. Additional tracks, full installs, or removals may incur extra charges; consult with us for exact pricing based on your desired look.
